Our Story
Courtney is an entrepreneur, creative strategist, and the founder of By August, a full-service social media and branding agency built on a belief that exceptional work and exceptional care should go hand in hand.
Over the last decade, Courtney has built a career at the intersection of social media, brand, culture and creative strategy, partnering with household names, global fashion houses and emerging startups.
In 2018, Courtney co-founded West of Fairfax, where she served as CEO and helped grow the company from an idea into a leading social media agency before its acquisition in 2023.
Her time building and leading the business shaped not only her understanding of what makes great work, but her conviction about how that work should be made: with excellence in the details, genuine hospitality in the relationship and a clear set of values guiding both.
